Richard and Dupre families
« on: October 14, 2005, 04:36:56 AM »
If anyone reading this has Quebec ancestry with family names Richard and Dupre I would love to know more about what you've learned about your family.  My direct ancestors are Pierre (aka Gideon) Richard and Marie Malvina Adeline Dupre who both were born in Quebec and immigrated as children in the 1850s with their families.  I have their marriage record from Ware in the 1860s but have not been able to find anything about them again until the 1870 and 80 censuses and nothing before about where their families settled immediately after immigrating.  Their daughter Rose was my great grandmother, she attended St Anne convent school in Webster in the 1880s.  Gideon is my mystery man who suddenly appears in the record with that marriage, he's the missing link in all my Quebec genealogy.  Rose had a younger sister Rosalie who married a man named Bombard.  If this is a branch on your family bush, please reply!
