Does anyone remember this store in the early to mid 1950's?  It was on Grand St. near Canterbury St.

There were two hardware stores on Grand st. Aubuchons (spelling a little off) and  LEVESQUE.. John was the owner.. Mickys cobblers shop..  Links barber shop,Powers package store, Grand club, 5 and 10 cent store, Red Rooster bar, New York Market, two more bars. ,Karens Bakery,Johns Fruit market, and a few other places, Whalens, Guertins Drug store,.. okay  ..Carols Market on southgate and grand...
I probably missed a couple.. John the owner of LEVESQUE hardware died a few years back.. The Worcester Telegram did a story on his business and how he still had things for sale that were still new from the 1950s.
They use to repair window glass and screens for the neighborhood. John would always find the right tool or part you needed and show you how to repair anything if you needed help for.. He was one business owner who knew his customers by name.. Service with a smile..Up Canterbury St was the Artisian Hall ,Laplante's Bar ,great for fish and chips on Fridays.  Tom the Greeks next door, but I think he was from Albainia ,Crystal Market. And the Pirates Den Bar  on Cambridge St. the other way was Kellys Rainbow garden, the Puritan, both bars.. Nishes Barber shop..
