downtown revival

a friend is telling me she loves having moved to Worcester 3 years ago.  Now I am considering it,but I would like a downtown condo - any advice from anyone?

maybe not right downtown..might be a construction zone.  there are some nice looking condos (old brownstones off of Pleasant/Elm Street) that are close to everything.  Also Shrewsbury Street area is nice, close to park, commuter rail. it's very different from chicago
