I just acquired a Crandell canoe built in the early part of the 19th century probably between 1900 and 1920. Can anyone help me find out about the builder H. Crandell. He built canoes on Lake Quinsigamond. The canoe I have is 17 feet I. D. #201. I am also a member of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association thus my interest in old unusual canoes. Any help regarding Who H. Crandell was when he was in business and information about his canoes will not only be in portant to me but also to the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association.
