Title: St. Anne's , Worcester Ma.
Post by: fivegenirish on October 18, 2009, 11:35:10 AM
Looking for info on St. Anne's Church. Would anyone know where the church records ended up? The church was closed in the 70's. I have O'Leary relatives who were members in the late 1800's...

Hi Helen!
How do you go about getting the old St. Anne's records without showing up in person? Most of the church people I have dealt with seem to consider hunting for records a major pain. I have even sent monetary contributions and been completely ignored. The lady in charge of records at Mount Carmel (where I THOUGHT the old St. Anne's records were located) even launched into a tirade about the nuisance factor of "those Irish" ancestor-seekers! Have you been able to get funeral records, or just baptism/marriage records. Any recommendations? Thanks, Eileen
